Lesson #3
I want to switch it up a little today and have a light discussion. Take a look at the GFY flag ... It's the Gadsden flag and also our shield. IT will defend you only if YOU defend it! Embrace it knowing that wearing its colors is a privilege that most never get. Let's break it down together so there isn't any confusion whatsoever.
As a whole, the shield looks pretty simple with a snake coiled back ready to strike. But how does this apply to the GFY Method? Let's begin with the background. Plain yellow at first sight, but consider the meaning of the color. Yellow signifies a warning or caution. Think when you are driving and you see a yellow light at the approaching intersection. Speed up or slow down... what do you do? Well I don't know the answer because I don't know your driving habits. Yellow is the only color at an intersection which allows for judgement calls. Green means go and red means stop which leaves no room for user discretion. Pretty simple yet yellow allows the driver to make a call based on the situation. To an experienced driver this situation is nothing more than a split second decision process, but what happens if we put a 16 year old driver in that situation? I don't know that either, but what I do know is that my money is on the seasoned vet to make the better and quicker decision. Where am I getting at? Time, experience, and correct application of the GFY Method will ultimately give you an edge up on others around you. Life is all about yellow lights ... Rarely do we see the green and red lights in our decisions because life would be too boring that way. In Allen Iverson's words... PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.
Next we see a rattlesnake in a ready position waiting to strike any aggressor. This ties in perfectly to my quote I wanted all of you to think about throughout the course: The best defense is a great offense. As you can see on the shield, the snake isn't hiding in the grass(defensive) or hunting for prey (offensive). The rattlesnake is ready to meet any challenge or adversary head on by turning defense into offense in a heartbeat. This is one aspect of GFY which teaches that by the time an adversary attacks it is already too late. Being prepared and aware of dangers is very critical at all times. On the flip side DO NOT believe that being the aggressor is always the favorable position in battle. At times it is better to set the trap and let the aggressor crash and burn before any negative results are incurred. Rarely do we have all of the information available to make the perfect decision, but being blindsided and caught off guard is unacceptable. Practice once again is key to assessing a situation correctly because rarely will the same action be appropriate to different quarrels.
Last but not least, the motto of the GFY Method is prominently displayed for all to never forget. "Don't tread on me". Come on say it with me. DON'T TREAD ON ME! Remember it, live it, love it. Very powerful stuff right here people. It is the GFY mentality in one sentence. Visualizing is a very powerful tool that when used correctly will yield positive results. Don't tread on me falls in that category because a person that truly lives by that statement will make the rational moves to succeed. See yourself winning ... Aren't you tired of being beaten down and out-bested? Do you like those footprints on your back? Of course not and I know that's why you are all here. It is the difference between living and getting by. It's no way to live and I am so happy to embark on this transformation journey with all of you. Next Lesson - Be Abnormal
Would you survive the Titanic or the Twin Towers disasters? Common wisdom is wrong. Common = The Masses.

Survival of the Fittest
Lesson #2
Would You Survive?
Part 2. Survival of the Fittest
I'm sure most of you have heard of the "Survival of the fittest", but is that still relative in today's times? Has technology advanced our race to the point that 'survival' has become a right instead of a privilege?
Charles Darwin wrote:
"This preservation, during the battle for life, of varieties which possess any advantage in structure, constitution, or instinct, I have called Natural Selection. The term "natural selection" is in some respects a bad one, as it seems to imply conscious choice; but this will be disregarded after a little familiarity". (1)
I want to break down this long statement because it has a couple of key points which are in sync with the GFY Method and one major disagreement. Quick disclaimer that I must make before continuing - agree or disagree with Darwin's overall theory, but do not let that create a mental block. I am not discussing the origins of species, nor theology here. Evolution vs. Bible is for another blog, not this one.
Darwin mentioned of a "battle for life" because in basic terms that's exactly what life is all about. Survival has different meanings to everyone yet the most simple definition has been forgotten. We live a comfortable, yet excessive, life because of the innovations and advancements in every field since the beginning of times. Running water, electricity, plastic, and many other inventions increased life expectancy and decreased some of life's hardships. No longer must people hunt for food or worry about attacks from wild animals. When was the last time you looked left and right when crossing a street fearful of being mauled by an angry bear? Sounds funny I know, but that was reality for people colonizing the New World. What I'm getting at here is that Darwin's natural selection idea doesn't seem to fit in our times, but the realty of things is that we aren't equal and life isn't fair. I'm sure each and one of you have once muttered in displeasure about someone else's riches, God given talent, or anatomical advantage. If my last statement is false then infomercials wouldn't be successful selling garbage to people.
Conscious choices one makes do determine the kind of survival one will have. In today's times the kind of jobs we pursue, the relationships we establish, and the actions we take to our problems determine if survival will be positive or negative. Sheep survive too, but the point of GFY is to survive and take life by the horns. Getting by in life with your head down isn't living in the GFY book. Think of the opportunities that passed by you because of the complacent mentality today's times have instilled in most people. "As long as I have food, a mate, and some entertainment I am a happy person and life is wonderful." Is that you? Really? What about wanting more and wanting to be on top... wanting to be a somebody? Being a go getter and feeling good about your accomplishments is what GFY is all about... survival of the fittest 2012 style! Pick a team... which team are you part of?
I'll leave you with a couple of GFY questions and thoughts that might seem crude and harsh, but then again so is the reality that most live in. I touched on these questions in Part 1 of "Would You Survive?".
Would you survive the Titanic or 9/11? Seems like a pretty straight forward question and I know most of you have already answered yes to both tragedies, but consider my take on why I know most of you are lying to yourselves. The Titanic perished in the Atlantic with only 710 people surviving out of 2,224 people on board. The lifeboats had a capacity of 1,178. Would you be on one of those lifeboats? Or would you let others in front of you because it's the 'nice' thing to do?
My issue is the men and women that passed up the opportunity to jump on a lifeboat when the chance presented itself. Yes, the boat had a "women and children" protocol that was enforced by the ship's crew, but if there is a will there is a way. I would have made my way on a boat no matter what I would have had to do (I know that sounds shocking to some) but I don't want to be a hero and take a bullet for anyone else. My life and survival are very important to me and there is nothing wrong with that. I know this is different from what you have been made to believe, but think rationally and ask yourselves how much do you really love yourselves if you perish in that accident? I will continue with this thought throughout the course and I promise that you will get it.
Next let's discuss the 9/11 tragedy that will never be forgotten. Eyewitness accounts and official reports came out years later that people in the towers wanted to leave the buildings after the first building was struck by the plane. To their better judgement, people listened to security officers telling them the fires were being put out. Most people headed back to the offices as if everything would be ok. Would you run out of the towers or remain because a public official's judgement is better than yours? Would you have followed your instinct to survive?
Be honest when you answer my questions because without honesty no real insight will be gained from the GFY Method. Yes those two tragedies are extreme, but I'm trying to stimulate and open your minds to the idea that survival means loving yourself. We have been given one mind and one body ... a precious gift that I believe most people are taking for granted. Don't let life slip away from your grip because you are only doing a disservice to yourself to waste it.

The Self-Imposed Crutch
Lesson #1
Would You Survive?
Part 1. The self-imposed crutch
Now that I have your attention I am going to discuss in two parts the root that GFY Method was built from and the mentality one must live by to reach desired success. I want each and one of you to think and answer honestly what I'm about to ask. How do you resolve your problems? What base do you have when faced with adversity? What do you lean on when life is taking its toll on you? How much do you love yourself? Would you SURVIVE?
Let's get one thing straight before we move forward... EVERYONE has problems. No one is exempt from problems because life would be boring if quarrels didn't arise. That's what makes life interesting and beautiful to live... problems. Problems make us feel alive because making conscious decisions is what separates us from the other animals on this beautiful planet. No amount of money or other wants can spare anyone from problems.
Where am I going with this? Taking action to problems is an art form and most people don't possess the skills or poise to make the best decision that is best for THEM... Nothing wrong with putting I before YOU. Most people fall back on a crutch whenever a difficult decision must be made be it personal or business. That crutch can be a gut feeling, hindsight, family, friends, religious beliefs, and so on. Under the facade of "doing what's best for me" people forget to put themselves as #1 out of fear of upsetting others, or just conforming to social norms.
Society has been chipping away at egoism, egotism, selfishness and the desire to put ones self as the master through contemporary teachings such as psychology, philosophy, theology, and sociology. Since when is it wrong to LOVE yourself enough to do everything to survive and to flourish? What is wrong with being in control of your life and being the master of your domain (king of the castle)? Will you trample on roadblocks?
Consider these two tragedies which I will delve into the next lesson. Would you survive the Titanic or 9/11? Also, is your life and SURVIVAL the most important instinct?

The Transformation Revolution
Hello future GFY alumni,
You won't know exactly what I'm talking about in the present moment when I say "The best defense is a great offense", but I promise you that with successful completion of my course those words will have a deeper understanding. Some of you are already rolling your eyes, but trust me tadpoles you have no idea the kind of weight those words carry.
To those that are asking what the GFY Method is I'll put it in simple terms. The GFY Method is a way of life that applies to all aspects of interactions in our daily endevours. From personal relationships to business etiquette, this methods leaves no stone unturned. It is a method that rivals "conventional" wisdom and is shunned by many because of the blinders (glasses) that we have become slaves to by the politically correct society we live in. MOST are forced to wear these glasses, and I emphasize most because unlike what your mother told you rules don't apply to every person and life isn't fair.
This course is the equivalent of LASIK surgery for those in need of such a procedure, but to the attitude the true follower has towards personal battles. There is no going back to the old days of relying on the glasses once the GFY Method is correctly applied to one's life! The saying that nice guys(gals) finish last is the exact reason this method works!
GFY is self explanatory: Go F**K Yourself! Shocked some of you didn't I? Not comfortable to see those words I know, but the comfort and complacency felt by most is just sheep clothing in a ruthless world. Sensibilities are forced onto us intentionally and unintentionally like shackles by society (parents, social status, friends, work, etc) to separate the sheep from the wolves. A wolf will always feed no matter the obstacles, but sheep will graze and "get by with what they got" no matter the consequences. GFY is about becoming a wolf... no matter how beat down a sheep has become. Sounds crazy I know, but give it some time to really sink in deeply.
Embark on this journey with me and the awareness gained about life and the self through GFY will become a life tool. Many will wish to possess this tool, but only those that follow the method correctly will reap the rewards! What separates the GFY Method from other self-inprovement teachings is 2 factors... Honesty and guidance for application in the real world. This method cuts through the bs and takes the shades off the eyes of the follower. No more politically correct rhetoric that simply just doesn't work. University of Sheep, or UoS for short, teaches to be selfless, obedient, and honest no matter the consequences. Pick up a newspaper or surf the net and read what all the wolves did recently and I bet you can see my drift. I guess UoS wasnt worth it huh? You are nĂºmero UNO ... and the GFY Method is here to POLISH and defend that crown.
Class on...
